PS Jayaraman is a chartered accountant with over 50 years of industrial experience in various capacities. He has been with The Sanmar Group, India, for over twenty-six years.

His rich career spans industries like Paper, Cement, Automobiles, Tyres, and Agri-seeds. He played an active role in the acquisition of Trust Chemicals Industries, Port Said, Egypt, which is now TCI Sanmar.

As Chairman of TCI Sanmar, Jayaraman significantly elevated the company’s operational efficiency and market presence. He was responsible for completing two expansion phases in TCI Sanmar Chemicals, involving a total investment of US $ 1.50 billion, creating a world-class manufacturing facility. In his earlier assignment with The Sanmar Group, Jayaraman was instrumental in acquiring a Caustic Soda plant in India. He was associated with a significant green-field PVC expansion involving an investment of US $  150 million.

Dr. Amarnath Ananthanarayanan is a thought leader and change agent with a 30-year record of excellence and accomplishment across financial services, manufacturing, research, and academics.

He has been with The Sanmar Group for over a decade in a multi-functional senior leadership role as the Managing Director – Corporate. Prior to that he was the CEO and MD for Bharti AXA General Insurance. Earlier, he had spent over a decade at GE Capital in India and Asia, a stint that culminated with a successful run as the Regional Insurance Leader for GE Capital, Asia. He has continued to be on the board of multiple companies and is a Qualified Independent Director as prescribed by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. 

He started his professional career by teaching Environmental Economics, International Trade, Macroeconomics and Money &

Banking at the Department of Economics, Rutgers University. 

A graduate in Economics from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi, he holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a PhD in Economics from Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey.

He has received multiple recognitions and awards, including The Udyog Rattan Award and has been inducted as a Member of The International Lawn Tennis Club of India.
